Periodicity

TransPort magazine is published the first days of each month of the year, ever since its foundation on April, 1963 (40 years ago).

Sections

TransPort is divided into six different sections, that appear in the following order:

  1. Editorial Section: Contains news about the tourism and travel industry in Ecuador and the world.
  2. Ofertas (yellow pages): Contains only advertising of national and international tour packages classified by its region of operation: 1) Galápagos, 2) Domestic (except Galápagos), and 3) International.
  3. Directory (pink pages): Contains the biggest travel directory published in Ecuador, with separate listings for airlines, travel agencies, tour operators, tourism institutions, rent-a-car companies, wholesalers, hotels and consulates.
  4. Fares (green pages): Air passenger transportation fares.
  5. Air transportation (light blue pages): Quick reference information about air schedules in Quito and Guayaquil.
  6. Airline itineraries: Individual ad pages with the flight schedule data of each airline that flies in Ecuador.

    Besides, the magazine includes these supplements:

  7. TransPort Junior: A small booklet of 3.9 x 6.1 inches and 36 pages with air schedules (fast reference) and directories of traveler services in Quito, Guayaquil and Cuenca.
  8. TransPort Cargo: A 16 pages booklet with information about the cargo business, including: a news section, a directory, air fares, air schedules and sea shipping schedules.

Circulation

About 2,800 copies in Guayaquil, Quito, Cuenca, Manta, Portoviejo, Machala and other Ecuadorian cities.

The vast majority of our readers pay for their subscription.

The magazine reaches its readers through a private distribution system that covers Guayaquil, Quito, Cuenca, Manta and Portoviejo. Other cities are reached via air mail.
